Privacy Policy
Stride Financials (“Stride,” “we,” or “us”) is operated by New Stride Media. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: Your name, email address, and authentication identifiers, provided through our authentication partner Clerk.
- Business profile: Business name, industry, and similar context you enter during onboarding.
- Financial data you upload: Transaction records contained in CSV files you import — date, description, amount, and our categorization of them.
- Usage information: Limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, and aggregate usage metrics needed to operate the service securely.
- AI conversation content: Questions you send to our AI CFO and the responses returned, used to deliver the feature.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the dashboard, analytics, and AI CFO features.
- To send service-related notifications (e.g., when you approach a usage limit).
- To improve the product, debug issues, and prevent abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your financial data with advertisers.
3. Third-party processors
We rely on a small number of vendors to run the service. Each is contractually bound to protect your data:
- Clerk — authentication and identity
- Supabase — encrypted database hosting
- Anthropic — provides the Claude model that powers AI CFO responses
- Vercel — application hosting
- Stripe — payment processing (only when we exit beta and you choose a paid plan)
4. AI and your data
When you ask the AI CFO a question, we send a summarized financial snapshot and your recent message history to Anthropic in order to generate a response. We do not send your raw bank statements or full transaction lists.
5. Data security
Your data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on encrypted infrastructure. Access to the production database is restricted to authorized personnel only. No system is perfectly secure — if a breach affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
6. Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account at any time by emailing hello@newstridefinancials.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or the CCPA.
7. Children
Stride Financials is intended for use by adults running businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, give notice through the product or by email.
